I can't wait to get home and watch all of them. Not like I don't have the box set but I still record it everytime it's on. And I'm now doing the same thing with Serenity since it's now on HBO.

Firefly and Farscape were the 2 best scifi shows to be cancelled in the last 5 years[and there have been many] Threshold, Surface, Invasion, and of course Star Trek Enterprise [just when it finally became worthy of the Star Trek name with Manny Coto in charge]and now Stargate SG1 now that Ben Browder and Claudia Black have enhanced the cast, and the storylines are more "adult", stories, that aren't always wrapped up in 46 minutes! Scifi tv doesn't give instant ratings gratification, it takes time to catch on to the stories, the characters, and flow of the show! In this day and age, that doesn't give scifi much of a chance on tv! I say that a couple of channels bring on some good scifi programming, giving it a 2 or 3 year comittment to grow and catch on before it can be cancelled, then see what happens!

Personally, Firefly is my favorite show ever. So witty, brilliant, cool, and with excellent acting... It is a shame that it cannot be resurected, because I heard some where that FOX owns the right to the show, and that Joss Whedon refuses to work with FOX again. Stargate SG-1 was high on my list of favorite shows as well, it was a refuge where actors from other cancelled SciFi shows could go. It had Browder, and Black from Farscape, Baccarin, who played Inara on Firefly, Doig who played Andromeda, on Andromeda was the doctor for a few episodes. The point is that we need Stargate, if not merely for the continuation of a great show, then keep it because it is the congregation of good scifi actors form deceased shows. Where else will they go?

Why hasnt someone offered FOX enough money to get this show away from them? Seriously, this show needs to be revived!

It really is a shame that Firefly was cancelled. I discovered the series very recently after catching Serenity while it was on Cinemax. It might be too late for the series, but I really hope they can at least continue with the films!!

What a wonderful show to go to the sidelines. Real shame it was canceled. Love the crews interactions with each other. Please bring this show back.

Great premise, inspired casting, sharp acting, smart writing, diverse and clever characters, fine mix of action and drama and dry wit - it pains me to watch it now, to hear a particularly brilliant line of dialog and know it was cancelled too early. The real problem was that Fox didn't seem to know what they had, and never promoted it properly; heck, they almost didn't promote it at all, and no one knew what it was from the title (what does "Firefly" mean, anyhow?). I would have missed it altogether if another friend hadn't turned me on to it, and there wasn't enough time for word-of-mouth to grow.

"Firefly" was one of the most brilliant concepts for a sci-fi show ever, since the original "Star-Trek". It's cancellation came as no surprise, especially as it was on Fox, who has never demonstrated any sci-fi awareness in the past. The fact that they do tend towards shows with quirky characters, however, did, at first, give me hope. But, alas, it was not to be. I hope that this all-day marathon (which I did watch every hour of, despite owning the boxed set of dvds)on the sci-fi channel gives us hope that more movies, if not new episodes, will be forthcoming. By the way, Rick, "Firefly" is the type or class of ship and "Serenity" is the name of the ship on which the series' characters serve. Why it was chosen as the name of the show I cannot say. Perhaps someone else out there can answer that one. Mr. Whedon, please do all in your power to keep this crew and theor stories alive.

I'm not a huge sci-fi fan, but I love this show. It's so sad that Joss Wheadon and some people with moeny and brains (obviously not FOX) haven't gotten the rights to the show and gotten things going again. It's not too late, I've yet to see a show where I liked so many of the characters. I was happy to see they kept with the cast for the movie, it's a sad thing when movies like bruce almighty and pirates of the caribbean "2" make so much money and they suck vs Serenity. This show's cancellation seems very similar to arrested development's cancelation, just tragic. I've bought 3 dvd sets on top of my own to help spread the word of the show to some friends who, like me had never heard of it until a friend told them.
One last nice note, I recently found out my wife has also bought some dvd sets to give away! :-)

MI-5 Is Back: Been emailing A&E constantly about showing MI-5 again in the states. It continued on BBC but they did not show it last season here. Finally got an email from A&E and the show aired earlier this week and last night. I love this show, I liked the original cast a lot better but the new team members are starting to grown on me. If you have not seen this show do so, but remember this is very English and action and responses are different that in American shows so give it a chance and watch a couple of episodes.

I've never taken the time to tout any other television show in my life, but Firefly was the best d@mn show in the 'verse. I don't know what MORON at FOX decided to air the first few episodes out of order, but I hope and pray they were fired for such an idiotic error. Firefly has more character development, more character secrets, simply more CHARACTER than any other show I've ever seen in my life (and I've watched a fair amount of TV in my day!). The network that revives Firefly and actually LISTENS to Joss when he tells them how the story should be shown to the masses, will have a GOLDMINE on their hands. (In the meantime, go out and get the boxed set folks, it's SOOOO good!)
